LPC was founded in September 2016. Most of society today live in a very fast and modern city life and there are various types of artist residencies available around the world. LPC is an artist community retreat project, meant to help artists today to experience what it means to “slow down”. We believe when people are able to reduce their pace and get away for a while from their own life to experience something different, then will you be able to look at things from a larger angle. Furthermore, this journey will enable artists to work with a clear your mind without the distractions of the city. It is important to treat yourself to a slow lifestyle and naturally, art direction becomes more clear and authentic. LPC is located in a remote traditional village in Beijing. Just behind our village is the largest wet land park, providing beautiful landscapes of nature and a relaxing environment to contemplate in. They can sit on the grass to write, paint next to the lotus flower lake, write music among the big wild birds, bring your camera walking in the forest, or even give a performance on a boat on the lake. The best part would be interacting with the local people and get in touch with a a different culture, and engage in a historical conversation. Our place allows you to enjoy a starry night to create a memorable stay in a real side of China.
