Major thanks to each and every one of you for coming out in the snowstorm on Sunday for the magical China Residencies Found Sound Dumpling Party! The Found Sound China crew had a blast bringing their work to audiences in New York City - and with a little extra support from China Residencies, they are off to the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas!

That's right! The Found Sound China artists have been invited to perform at the The Sol Life Official SXSW Music Showcase on March 16th - joining a roster of international artists united by themes of social justice, musical experimentation, indigenous identity and global impact. SXSW is a gathering of music professionals, booking agents, record labels, with the potential of becoming a major game-changing career development opportunity for all the artists involved. It is also an opportunity to continue the programming of Found Sound China, and deepen the work begun this summer between the Chinese and American artists-in-residence.
This is an exciting opportunity indeed, but we need YOUR help to get them there. As independent artists, they are raising the money to get there - so we are calling on our community for support. With your support, China Residencies will be able to help these exceptional artists cover accommodations and travel to bring artists to perform at the showcase.
