Want find out how you can go on an artist residency in China?
Come join us Tuesday at Residency Unlimited to hear co-founders Crystal Ruth Bell and Kira Simon-Kennedy present an overview of China Residencies and give useful tips on how to navigate in China as a visiting artist.

We'll touch on everything from funding opportunities and visa application guidelines, as well as opportunities for exhibitions and collaborations with local artists and institutions. We'll also team up with past Red Gate artists in residence Sam Jablon & Margeaux Walter, as well as our fantastic interns Hong Zhang & Sally Yi Cao to answer all your questions.

Free drinks, delicious dumplings & other Chinese snacks generously donated by Sichuan Legend!

Crystal Ruth Bell is the former director of Red Gate Residency in Beijing and founder of China Residencies. She works in NYC at DoSomething.org, a web-based non profit for young people and social change. Her own art practice explores cultural exchange through pop-up food art interventions.

Kira Simon-Kennedy is the Program Manager and co-founder of China Residencies. Based between Beijing, Paris and New York for the past five years, Kira also works as a photographer, filmmaker and Mandarin and French translator for museums, artists and art publications.

Sam Jablon's artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally, most recently at Hunter College, and White Box. He has performed at the Museum of Modern Art, the Banff Centre and the Bowery Poetry Club. He is currently working on public art projects in Binghamton, NY, for neighborhood rejuvenation and empowerment.

Margeaux Walter is a mixed-media photographer. In 2007 she founded a not-for-profit art collective called SuperGlue for creating arts workshops and exhibitions around NYC. In 2009, the Magenta Foundation chose her as a top emerging photographer in the United States.
